About Us

A Pisces, born in the water, Willy Cosmo is passionate about hot springs and so are his parents. Starting with the West Coast of the United States, they scour the Earth for the most magical spots to relax, play, and soak their bones. They dream of one day taking all their favorite things from each beloved spot and creating their own Shangri-La, Cosmos Springs.

And who is joining Willy Cosmo on this journey you might be wondering? We're a couple of lovers of those sweet, delicious healing waters. Rachel and Joe, in their travels together have been to more than 40 mineral and hot springs around the world and between them individually, they have been to even more than that!

Their son, Willy Cosmo joined the party in early March of 2016 and Joe's 8 year old daughter Joy (also a Pisces) has come along for many of the hot springs adventures over the years as well. Rachel and Joe are both Cancers and so it seems only natural that this water loving family has incorporated mineral and/or hot springs into every travel plans they are able to. Some of their adventures are of course centered around these hot springs, too...

Who We Are

Rachel Robinson is now the happy mother of a healthy wee little boy named Willy Cosmo. Rachel has a background in acting and has performed on stage, television, and in movies. She also is a singer songwriter with 4 albums, here's a link to her website. Besides being a proud mother, she also needle felted the "illustrations" for her and Joe's children's book and sing along song. She's also taken up sewing and has become quite the seamstress.

Joe finished up working and attending classes at Portland Community College from late 2016 through June of 2019. He focused on communications, sustainability, and social justice. He was the Environmental Justice Coordinator through student leadership for a year and went on to become the Sustainability Communications Coordinator for the school where he managed the social media, blog writing, and created and hosted the podcast PCC, Sustain Me! A Sustainability & Environmental Justice Podcast. The Podcast took Joe around the country and world, presenting on his work and education, the program also received an award from the United Nations University during the Global Sustainability Conference in 2018 in Cebu, Philippines.  He also spent the final year in school as a member of The Illumination Project, a social justice theater program based on Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed.

Artistically speaking, his crafts and work include creating stretch fabric art for festivals, weddings, and events, making and selling natural herbal medicines and elixirs, and farming and gardening. He is also an avid photographer and videographer and had the pleasure of exploring story telling as the writer of the children's book Rachel and him created called "Honey for a Song".

Our History

Our history is deep and complex, and sometimes boring, much like everyone else's. The nuts and bolts of it are that Rachel hails from California and Joe from Minnesota. We both, independent of each other moved to Portland, Oregon in 2007. We didn't find each other and join paths until 2012 and since then, we've been building a life together that as you are going to learn, involves a fair amount of time exploring the many wonders of those delightful Hot Springs out there in the world.
